My Story

Hey, I’m Shay! 👋 A certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with a passion for helping you unlock your full wellness potential!​ My fitness journey began in 8th grade when I had a life-changing encounter with a date. Not that kind of date... You know – those brown raisin-like fruits? One summer afternoon, a classmate’s health-conscious mom handed me a dried date and proceeded to give me a mini science lesson on its nutritional benefits. I was about 30 pounds overweight at the time, and that moment was a turning point for me. I became completely captivated by the science of food and started on my journey to learn more about how it could transform our bodies and lives.​


But like most great stories, mine didn’t follow a straight path. Despite my love for health and fitness, I took a detour into the mortgage industry (because who doesn’t want to spend their twenties mulling over regulatory compliance?). Yet, through all of that, my passion for wellness never left me. After several years in the corporate space, I knew I had to go back to my true calling.​

In 2019, I found my sweet spot in the gym—resistance training, baby! 💪 That sparked a deep love for fitness, which eventually led me to become a certified personal trainer. But I didn’t stop there. Motivated by a desire to deepen my knowledge, I pursued my degree at Texas Tech University, where I studied nutrition, psychology, and addictive disorders to understand the mind-body connection. After graduating in 2024, I earned my nutrition coach certification, and now, I’m here to bring everything I've learned together to help you crush your fitness goals, once and for all!​

Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve your overall fitness, or just feel better in your own skin, I’ve got you covered. My approach? It’s all about sustainability, not crazy fad diets. I’ll help you create a personalized plan that fits seamlessly into your schedule—because fitness should add to your life, not take away from it. No more feeling like you're punishing yourself with workouts or meal plans you hate. Together, we'll make this journey not only effective but enjoyable.​

When I'm not working or gymming, you can find me practicing my latte art, thrifting, decluttering, or jamming to some worship tunes. Balance is key in life—and I’m all about finding it. Whether it’s fueling up with a great cup of coffee, lifting up praises, or lifting weights, I’m a firm believer in living well in all areas.​ Let’s make this fun and transform your fitness journey into something you actually want to do.
